Go Africa Community Hub CIC is a Black-led community organisation rooted in unity, wellness and empowerment. Currently based at the Black Cultural Centre in Islington, we serve the Global Majority with inclusive, culturally anchored programmes that uplift and transform.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create a place to belong—a space where health, wealth, culture and community intersect.

Through partnerships, creativity and lived experience, we design programmes that support and inspire people of African and Caribbean heritage across generations. Our work tackles the systemic barriers faced by our community while nurturing collective healing, wellbeing, and opportunity.

🌱 Current Residency: A Place to Belong – Spring/Summer 2025 Edition

We’re proud to host our ongoing programme, A Place to Belong, from our home at the #BlackCulturalCentreIslington. This seasonal residency brings together arts, culture, wellness and critical conversations that centre the experiences, aspirations and joy of the communities we serve.

With family-friendly events, educational workshops, wellbeing sessions, and small business showcases, this initiative is rooted in connection and pride. It’s a living, breathing example of what happens when we make space for us, by us.

Upcoming Event: Prostate Cancer Walk & Talk – 30 June 2025

In partnership with Arsenal in the Community, we’re hosting a powerful day of awareness, connection, and action for Black men’s health.

📍 Location: Arsenal Community Hub
🕤 Time: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM
🎯 Focus: Men’s wellness, PSA testing, open discussion, walking football and mental health check-ins.

This event centres the health of our brothers—offering a safe, informed space to talk openly about prostate cancer, wellness and preventative care. It’s about breaking silence, saving lives, and building community resilience.

💚 Health & Wellbeing
We run targeted initiatives to tackle physical and mental health inequalities—especially within Black communities. From cancer awareness and nutrition workshops to mental health support and holistic healing, we promote proactive, informed self-care.

💰 Wealth & Economic Empowerment
Supporting Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs and families is central to our mission. We run pop-up markets, networking events and skills sessions to foster economic growth and collective sustainability.

🎨 Cultural Expression & Pan-African Identity
We honour our diverse African diasporic identities through the arts, storytelling and knowledge-sharing. Our programmes celebrate where we’ve come from and envision where we’re going, with pride and purpose.

🏡 A Place to Belong
Whether you’re a young creative, a parent seeking community, or an elder with wisdom to share—Go Africa is your home. Our spaces are intergenerational, inclusive, and designed with care.
