Founded by Errol McKellar MBE — mechanic, radio personality, cancer survivor & award-winning advocate — the Foundation exists to save lives through early detection, open conversation, and accessible testing for prostate cancer.

After surviving prostate cancer, Errol launched #MOTYourself™, a movement encouraging men to check their health just like they would their car — regularly, without fear and without shame. This simple yet powerful message has reached thousands and is now shaping a wider global conversation.

At the heart of the work is a focus on Black communities, where prostate cancer hits hardest. 1 in 4 Black men will be diagnosed in their lifetime — more than double the risk compared to other groups — yet stigma, silence and cultural taboos continue to block early diagnosis.

The Errol McKellar Foundation is committed to breaking these barriers, not only in the UK but across the African and Caribbean diaspora, where talking about illness, especially “down there,” is often avoided. This silence is costing lives. We need to talk. We need to test.

A simple PSA blood test can catch prostate cancer early, when it’s most treatable. But too many men don’t get tested until it’s too late.

That’s why the Foundation is raising funds for a mobile PSA testing unit to reach communities directly — in churches, barber shops, sports clubs, community centres and festivals.
